it may not be easy to see at first
but there is definitely a difference between missing something you had with someone and missing that person specifically. when you can pinpoint which one of the two it is, that’s when you know you have either fucked up a good thing, or understand that you are better off living the way you do now.

i once had a conversation
with people about how they got upset at how people judged them before even being talked to or given the chance to be heard. and now i see the same people on the other side, making the judgments they said they hated, without the consulting of the other party in which they said was deserved when it came to their situation.
